Suleimenova Zulfiya 

She was born in 1990 in Aktobe.

In 2012, she graduated from the Gumilyov Eurasian National University with a degree in International Relations, in 2014 she received a Master's degree in International Relations from the Gumilyov Eurasian National University, in 2016 she received a PhD from the National Institute of Political Studies (Japan).

In 2013-2014, she worked as an expert in the Coalition for a Green Economy (Kazakhstan).

In 2014-2015, she was a researcher at the Foreign Policy and International Security Department of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan (KazISS).

In 2015-2018, she worked as a consultant in the Environment and Development Policy Section of the Environment and Development Division of UNESCAP (Thailand).

In 2018-2019, she worked as International Consultant at the UN Development Programme in Turkmenistan, National Consultant at the UN Development Programme in Kazakhstan, Consultant at the Environment and Development Policy Section of the UNESCAP Environment and Development Division (Thailand).

In 2020-2021, she was Deputy Director of the Department of Climate Policy and Green Technology of the Ministry of Environment, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2021 to 2022, she was a member of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan of the VII convocation and a member of the Committee on International Affairs, Defence and Security.

From March 2022 to Jan. 2023, she was Deputy Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated Jan. 4, 2023 she was appointed Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
